Israel plans to add another 15GW solar energy power plant by 2030.
From Minister of Energy Israel Mr.Yuval Steinitz,He said in an official statement: "In the next ten years, the construction scale of solar energy power storage facilities will be equivalent to all existing power facilities in the country." He predicts that by 2030, solar renewable energy will meet the country's 80% of the electricity demand, while natural gas will cover the rest, coal will be gradually phased out. Steinitz added that this change will be driven by the private sector and it is expected that the investment in clean energy will reach about 80 billion Israeli new shekels, or about $23 billion.
With the cost of solar power plant reducing,it will be more and more competitive in energy industry.
