There are various types of solar mounting panels available in the market and some are meant to be mounted on the ground while some are installed on a wall. The mounting system depends on the need of the user and the location of the panel, which determines the choice of the bracket for the purpose.

A ground-mounted solar rack system usually referred to as a garage floor mount system is designed to hold a portable solar panel. This type of mounting system requires a strong and sturdy concrete ground, preferably concrete with a few layers of gravel or sand. This mounting system is designed to accommodate a single solar panel and has three holes that can be drilled for screws. The mounting system can be screwed to the concrete surface and the panels can be placed on top of it. It is not recommended to use it for larger panels that will occupy too much space.

In this type of mounting, the panels are installed above a concrete slab or concrete floor. These types of brackets are mostly designed to provide protection from any damage to the surface from sunlight during the daytime. There are some disadvantages to installing this kind of mounting. It is not possible to move the panels with it and you cannot change its orientation without damaging the concrete. It is also not possible to rotate or tilt the panels to increase their height and thus increase the usable space of the rooftop.

In this type of mounting, the panels are installed above a steel or asphalt roofing system. This type of mounting system provides better protection against any damage to the roof by providing a seal to the whole mounting structure. It offers better protection from the weather as well as the harmful rays of the sun. It is the best option to install these systems above asphalt roofs, but they are not preferred for concrete roofing systems. The reason behind this is that concrete has a high degree of water resistance and it is not possible to adjust the orientation of the panels as per the changes in the weather. It is only possible to alter the angle of the panels depending upon the prevailing weather conditions. There is a possibility of rainwater entering the system and this is considered a major problem.

A mounting system designed to mount solar rack systems above concrete is commonly known as the Ground Mount Solar System. This kind of mounting system offers better protection from damage to the concrete surface from sunlight. It has been designed specifically to provide excellent insulation to the roof while allowing the panels to be tilted or rotated during the day time. As this kind of mounting system is made of metal, it is highly resistant to corrosion and rusting. and this ensures that the panels will last for a longer period of time without any damage.

You can install a Ground Mount Solar Racking System on your roofing system to provide complete protection from harmful rays of the sun for long hours. These systems are easy to install and provide protection against sunlight. They can be used for various purposes such as providing additional electricity for night time and supplying power to the home appliances when the main electric supply is not available.
