Do you know how to choose an energy storage battery?
Choosing the right energy storage battery can help improve your power utilization rate.
Here are five key points to consider when selecting a good battery.

1. Mainstream Cell Type:
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries are the industry's top choice. They offer high safety, a cycle life exceeding 5000 cycles, and affordable costs. Suitable for residential and commercial/industrial photovoltaic applications, mixing LFP and other non-energy storage cells is strictly prohibited.
2. Core Functional Features:
Features include photovoltaic surplus energy storage, peak-valley arbitrage, and power outage backup. Charge/discharge efficiency exceeds 95%, with low energy loss, maximizing photovoltaic self-consumption.
3. Capacity and Power Differentiation:
Capacity is measured in kWh/GWh (total stored energy), while power is measured in kW/GW (charge/discharge rate). Selection must match the photovoltaic installation capacity and daily electricity load.
4. System Protection Mechanism:
Standard configuration includes a Battery Management System (BMS) with built-in overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection. For outdoor installations, ensure proper waterproofing and heat dissipation, avoiding direct sunlight and rain.
5. Applicable scenarios:
Residential models are compact and portable, suitable for home solar power; Industrial and commercial models have large capacity and high power, support on-grid and off-grid switching, and require standardized regular maintenance to extend service life.
